<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle from being moved to an expected or unintended direction by providing a speed selecting lever which is moved to a selected gear ratio position from a parking position and a direction controlling lever having a forward, a neutral and a backward positions. SOLUTION: A switch 50 is movably connected to a shift lever and opened only when the shift lever is moved to a parking position. As a result, when the shift level is moved to the parking position, the switch is opened to cut the electricity of a solenoid 34, thereby moving a switch 32 to the right, whereby a return stopping grooves 38 to 42 are disengaged from a return stopping roller 26. Then, a direction controlling lever 14 is returned to a neutral position by center positioning levers 20, 22, thereby preventing the lever 14 from remaining at a forward position or a backward position without the intention of a driver after the shift lever is set at the parking position.</p> |
