REINFORCING TOP PART OF TIP SIDE OF SHAFT OF OVERHOSEL TYPE GOLF CLUB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing a top part of the tip side of a overhosel type golf club shaft excellent in prevention of lengthwise crack generated in the longitudinal direction from the top end of the tip part of golf club shaft without deteriorating its pliant property. SOLUTION: On the top part of an overhosel type shaft made of hollow tube of a fiber reinforced plastic resin comprises a fiber layer A which is formed by laminating plural fiber layers arranged obliquely to the length direction of the shaft so that the fiber direction of each of the adjacent fiber layers may be crossed with each other and is arranged at a position adjacent to the inner surface of the hollow tube of the shaft over about the whole length of the shaft and a fiber layer B which is arranged nearly parallel to the length direction on over the whole length of the outer periphery of the fiber layer A. And also on the top part of the overhosel type shaft, a fiber layer C is arranged nearly perpendicularly to the length direction on the outer periphery of the fiber layer B and further a fiber layer D is arranged nearly parallel to the length direction of the shaft on the outer periphery of the fiber layer C so as to substantially cover the fiber layer C.
