<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable plastic container which can be folded compactly in the direction of its height (depth) so as to be convenient for transportation, storage, and sale. SOLUTION: When a plastic sheet is vacuum formed into a container 5, ribs (a) and (b), which enable the formed container 5 to be folded inward by being pressed vertically, are integrally formed in the side walls 5h and 5i, thereby making it possible to fold the side walls 5h and 5i flat. In the ribs (a) of the side walls 5h and 5i, their valley folds along which the container is folded inward are the ribs that are recessed inward from the outsides of the side walls 5h and 5i. In the ribs (b) of the side walls 5h and 5i, their mountain folds along which the container is folded inward is the rib that are recessed outward from the insides of the side walls 5h and 5i. In the case of the container 5 in the shape of a polygonal box, triangular fold ribs (a) and (b), which enable each comer 5j to be folded into a triangle, are integrally formed.</p> |
