PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer capable of removing an under color in accordance with the kind or the presence/absence of a black head by making the black head exchangeable. SOLUTION: A printer head part is constituted of a color printer head 25 for, e.g. a yellow color (Y), a magenta color (M) and a cyan color (C), a binary Bk head 26, a two liquid mixture Bk head 27 exchangeable with the binary Bk head 26, a carriage unit 28 loading the heads and moving in a forward direction or rearward direction of a head feed direction, etc. An optimum under color removal is conducted in accordance with the kind of the black head. If the black head is not present, the under color removal is not carried out, or the like treatment is carried out. Accordingly, even when both a full color image and a text are to be printed, the full color image can be printed with high quality and the text can be printed with sharp and clear black. |
