COSMETIC AND COMPOSITION FOR SKIN CONTAINING ACTIVE AMOUNTS OF URIC ACID AND URICASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject stable composition containing a uricase and uric acid as active substances and useful for exterminating microorganisms on the skin, bleaching the skin and/or hair and moistening the skin. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a uricase in combination with (B) uric acid as active substances at a weight ratio (A/B) of 0.001/99.999 to 99.999/0.001. The amount of A+B is preferably 0.5-3wt.% based on the total composition. The components A and B are preferably brought into contact with each other first at the time of use, concretely, e.g. by compounding one or both of the components A and B in encapsulated state. The pH of the composition is preferably adjusted to 4-6.5 by adding a buffering agent to the combination of the components A and B.
