Disclosed is an optical pickup apparatus of multi-laser beam type. The apparatus comprises a laser source(30) and a light sensing device(34). The laser source(30) is composed of three laser devices(30a, 30b, 30c). The 1st laser device(30a) generates the main beam. The 2nd and 3rd laser devices(30b, 30c) generate 1st and 2nd guide beams to compensate sensibility of the tracking servo system. The light sensing device(34) has three sensing portions(34a, 34b, 34c) to sense corresponding beams from the three laser devices(30a, 30b, 30c). Thereby, the tracking servo is well controlled without a grating.
