PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible coloring composition which retains stabilized coloring and decoloring properties and also can deal with a wide range of use and environmental conditions as well as a reversible thermal recording medium. SOLUTION: This reversible thermal recording medium contains an electron- donative coloring compound, an electron-receptive compound and a matrix polymer, and a recording layer which can form a colored state and a discharged state relatively on account of the difference in heating temperatures and/or cooling velocities after heating, formed on the support. In this case, an electron- receptive polymer and an electron-donative polymer are jointly used as the matrix polymer. |
