PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix bacteria to a filter material within a short period in a water purifying method purifying bath water by utilizing bacteria. SOLUTION: A definite quantity of bath water is sucked into a purifying cylinder 3 by a circulating pump 8 to be stagnated therein. Continuously, lyophilized aerobic bacteria are charged into the purifying cylinder 3 along with nutrients for bacteria to prepare highly conc. bacteria-containing culture soln. The culture soln. is circulated through a circulating passage 20 formed by connecting a culture kit 7 to a drain pipe 6 and a suction unit 4a for a predetermined time to culture bacteria and these bacteria are bonded to a filter material. By charging bacteria into the purifying cylinder along with nutrients, the propagation speed of bacteria can be increased. Further, since the contact number of times with the filter material is increased by circulating the culture soln., a period for culturing bacteria in an amt. necessary for purifying bath water can be shortened.
