PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a difficult point of wear and maintenance due to a rotary mechanism, such as barrel grinding and grinding by rotation of a permanent magnet, simplify the device, and reduce the size thereof. SOLUTION: A three-phase AC power is fed to electromagnets 1-6 wherein winding is applied on the groove of the inner wall surface of a cylindrical core 7 and a rotary magnetic field is generated at an internal cylindrical cavity. A cylindrical container 9 of a non-magnetic substance is contained in the cavity part. A liquid non-magnetic abrasive material 11 is placed in the container 9 and a magnetic substance small piece 10 and a work 12 are immersed therein. Since the magnetic substance small piece 10 is rotated through rotary magnetic field, the abrasive material 11 flows around with a force to polish the work 12.
