PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition for coatings which are excellent in performances such as adhesivity, weathering resistance, chemical resistance, solvent resistance and finished appearance and which can be applied to the pearl tones of three-coat one-bake system or three-coat two bake system, or to the solid color or metallic color of two-coat one-bake system capable of directly coating the sheets or molded products of polyolefin resin materials. SOLUTION: This resin composition for coatings comprises (A) a hydroxyl group-containing vinylic copolymer comprising 5-95wt.% of isobornyl (meth) acrylate and 5-95wt.% of a copolymerizableα,β-unsaturated monomer and having a hydrooxyl group value of 20-100mgKOH/g, (B) a chlorinated polyolefin resin having a chlorine content of <=50wt.%, (C) the ultrafine particles of a crosslinked polymer, and (D) a crosslinking agent capable of reacting with a hydroxyl group. Therein, the weight ratio of the component A/the component B is 90/10 to 10/90, and the weight ratio of the component C/(the component A + the component B + the component D) is 1/100 to 30/100. The weight ratio of the component D/(the component A + the component B + the component C) is 1/99 to 50/50.
