PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save manhours and cost by the use of designs in which the grip- side large-diameter section remains parallel and the grip-side small-diameter section nearer to the head tapers off or the head-side large-diameter section tapers off at a narrow angle toward the head and the head-side small-diameter section tapers off at a wide angle. SOLUTION: A prepreg 2, in which the base section is a wide section 7 with its width remaining unchanged throughout a specified length, the wide section 7 is joined by a narrow section 8 tapering off towards the end as illustrated in Fig. A, is wound around the entire length of a core metal so that the wide section 7 on the core metal will be the grip side and that the two sections 7 and 8 will meet in a line. In another embodiment of Fig. B, the base section expands outward beyond a taper line 11 joining a base end 10 and a forward end 9. The prepreg 2, in which the narrow section 8 ranges from the wide section 7 to the forward end 9 and tapers off at an angle sharper than that of the wide section 7, is wound around the entire length of a metal core, in which process the wide section 7 becomes the grip side on the core metal and the wide section 7 and the narrow section 8 neatly meet in a line.
|
