PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material for a transparent or a translucent thermal recording medium contributing to the improvement of a matching quality with a thermal head, i.e., the generation of less head refuse and being almost free from the occurrence of a sticking phenomenon. SOLUTION: A recording medium consists of a thermal recording layer formed mainly of an electron-donative coloring compound, an electron-receptive compound and a binder resin on a transparent or a translucent support, and a protecting layer formed on the thermal recording layer. In this case, the protecting layer contains an ultraviolet ray-curable resin, a resin obtained by copolymerizing a silicone component in a graft or a block fashion, a crosslinking agent which chemically reacts with this resin and an inorganic or an organic filler. |
