<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain safety in electric discharge lamp bulb replacement or maintenance-inspection work. SOLUTION: A cap removal regulating means 24 is provided to quicken the detachment of a lamp unit side connector 18 and a power side connector 20 prior to the removal of a bulb cap 15 mounted to an electric discharge lamp bulb removing/fitting opening 2 of a lamp housing 1. The removal of the power side connector 20 from the lamp unit side connector 18 thereby takes precedence, and power supply to an electric discharge lamp bulb 7 is cut off to secure safety.</p> |
