ORTHODONTIC BRACKET AND CURING LIGHT ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the bonding strength between a bracket and a tooth, and more particularly, the bonding strength right under the central part in the base part of the bracket. SOLUTION: This orthodontic bracket 20 has the base part 22 having an outside surface for direct bonding to the tooth 58 and the base part 22 includes the central part having an aperture 24. The bracket 20 has a body 28 extending from the base part 22 toward the direction parting from the outer surface. The bracket 20 further includes tie wings 30, 32 extending outward from the body 28 and a slot 34 is adjacent to the tie wings 30, 32 in order to accept an arch wire. The body 28 has a central section having a passage 36 positioned to at least one aperture 24. The curing light assembly is inserted into the passage and is cured by an adhesive for bonding.
