PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce pellets with uniform form and size by adjusting water adhering to a strand right before being held by a take-up roller before cutting to be a specified wt.% or less of a resin. SOLUTION: A polyolefin strand 8 from an extruder 1 is cooled by water, solidified, dewatered, dried, and cut. Water is adjusted to be 3wt.% or less, preferably 2.5wt.% or less, of the strand 8 right before being held by a take-up roller 6 before cutting. In this way, if pellets expanded by a foaming agent added into the resin are used for molding, the resin can be packed into a narrow part so that a foamed molding with good appearance can be prepared. |
