摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of the presence of ink inside an ink carrying pipe by providing fluid detecting equipment which detects the presence of the ink inside the ink carrying pipe. SOLUTION: A detecting circuit 82 comprises a first detecting probe 84 for a heating pit 74 and a second detecting probe 86 for an ink pit 70. A transducer element 78 is isolated electrically from the first detecting probe 84 by an insulating layer 88. The detecting circuit 82 detects the presence of a fluid between the first detecting probe 84 and the second detecting probe 86. At the time when the fluid is present, a switch of a transistor 90 is turned ON and a collector 96 thereof is pulled to be in a low state. When the fluid is not present, the transistor 90 is put in an OFF state and the collector 96 is pulled to be in a high state. According to this constitution, the presence of ink inside an ink carrying pipe can be detected.
