<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder for an image forming device having a simple structure and capable of reducing the cost without increasing the number of part items. SOLUTION: The surface of a separation section 2 butted with the tip of the conveyed paper sheet is formed into a circular arc shape. When the uppermost paper sheet 1a sent by a paper feed roller 4 tends to be conveyed together with the paper sheet 1b directly below it along the curved surface of the separation section 2, they are conveyed upward along a circular arc while frictional force is applied between the tip sections of the paper sheets 1a, 1b and the separation section 2 at the steep rise position of the circular arc, two overlapped paper sheets 1a, 1b are gradually drifted, a wedge-like gap is generated from the tip section, and the paper sheets 1a, 1b are separated. When the gap is generated, the frictional force applied between the paper sheets 1a, 1b is extremely decreased, the conveying force by the paper feed roller 4 is hardly transmitted to the lower paper sheet 1b, the paper sheet 1b is left, and only the uppermost paper sheet 1a is conveyed.</p> |
