摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sure standing leg phase and an idle leg phase at the time of walking, to provide stable walking conditions and to prevent the generation of inclination or fall by varying the length of supporting poles by stretching supporting pole length varying mechanisms provided at foot parts. SOLUTION: This walking aid 1 is provided with a pelvis and trunk supporting mechanism 2 for maintaining the posture of the upper part of the body of the physically handicapped and supporting the weight, and a pair of left and right supporting poles 3 for fixing the lower part of the body. Foot parts 13 are provided at the lower parts of supporting poles 3, the foot part 13 are respectively provided with freely stretchable supporting pole length varying mechanisms 16, and control equipment 4 is provided for controlling the operations of a power source (air source) 5 and the supporting pole length varying mechanisms 16. Concerning the foot part 13, the supporting pole length varying mechanism 16 is arranged between an upper member for mounting the foot wearing a shoe and a lower member to be grounded on the ground while facing the upper member. Concerning the supporting pole length varying mechanisms 16, tie rod arms to be operated while being paired before and after a link mechanism are respectively arranged on the left and right sides.
