PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed method for a rubber sheet-like material in which the end of the rubber sheet-like material fed into a feed hopper of an extruder is cut into the shape to be inserted into an introduction opening of the feed hopper and fed automatically. SOLUTION: A publicly known foreign matter sensing device 13 is set in the width direction at the given inclination angle to the longitudinal direction of a carrying conveyor 1 in the middle of the carrying conveyor 1, and the foreign matter sensing device 13 is used for sensing foreign matters such as metal pieces and the like mixed into a rubber sheet-like material W carried by a conveyor belt 12.
