MOLDING OF MOLDED PRODUCT USING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING INORGANIC FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold a molded product having a surface to which the state of the mold surface of a cavity is faithfully transferred and excellent in mirror surface properties. SOLUTION: In the molding of a molded product, a mold assembly consisting of molds 10, 20 (a) provided with a cavity 40 and molding a molded product made of a thermoplastic resin, the glass or ceramic core 30 (b) with a thickness of 0.5-10mm arranged in the molds and the press plate 32 (c) arranged in the molds to press the end part of the core 30 and characterized by that the clearance (C) between the core 30 and the press plate 32 is 0.001-0.03mm and the press flange (ΔS) of the press plate 32 to the core is 0.1mm or more is used. The cavity is filled with a thermoplastic resin compsn. containing 5wt.% or more of inorg. fibers with an average length of 5-400μm and an average diameter of 0.01-15μm to mold a molded product.
