PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the mode of a printer automatically when a user designating a graphic mode on an operation panel. SOLUTION: A mode selection means 241 in a host unit 2 selects a graphic mode corresponding to an application being executed by the host unit 2. A mode designation means 242 designates a selected graphic mode for a printer 1. A mode setting means 311 in the printer 1 sets a graphic mode depending on a designation from the host unit 2 thus setting a graphic mode corresponding to an application under execution automatically. |
