SOIL CONDITIONER AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING WATER-CONTAINING SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner which is suitable for improving a water- contg. soil to make it granular in order to reuse it e.g. as a resource, such as an earthing up for horticulture and agriculture, and a method for improving the soil. SOLUTION: A water-contg. soil is improverd by using a soil conditioner comprising an aq. soln. of polyacrylic acid having prescribed properties and/or its salt. A soil conditioner is provided which comprises an aq. soln. of polyacrylic acid and/or its salt having a degree of neutralization of 70% or lower. A water-contg. soil is mixed with an aq. soln. of the above-mentioned polyacrylic acid (salt) and granulated. Thus, a water-contg. soil is granulated to a desired granular size.
