PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact parking mechanism which can be accommodated in a small or a limited space. SOLUTION: A parking mechanism concerned comprises a detent lever 1 continued to the operation part, a parking gear 2, pole 3 meshing with the gear 2, cam-equipped rod 4 to push the pole 3, and the second rod 5 which couples the tail of the rod 4 with the detent lever 1 situated nearer the pole 3 than the rod tail in such a condition as folded back, wherein the tail of the rod 4 is guided by a guide 6 in the directions in which the cam 41 advances and retreats. Thereby the cam-equipped rod can make advancing and retreating operations with less oscillative swings while the rod length remains small. |
