PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ability to wet woolen clothing and the detergency by incorporating a specified surfactant system into a neutral liquid detergent composition containing water as the main medium. SOLUTION: A liquid detergent composition containing water as the main medium and having a pH of 6 to 8, in which the surfactant system contains components (a), (b) and (c) at a weight ratio of component (a) to the total of components (a), (b) and (c) of (25:100) to (60:100), a weight ratio of component (b) to the total of components (a), (b) and (c) of (20:100) to (60:100), a weight ratio of component (c) to the total of components (a), (b) and (c) of at most 0.1:1, a weight ratio of component (c) to component (a) of (1:3) to (1:30), and a weight ratio of component (c) to component (b) of (2:5) to (1:30). The component (a) comprises a nonionic ether surfactant represented by formula I. The component (b) comprises an anionic surfactant having -SO3 <-> and/or -OSO3 groups. The component (c) comprises, e.g. an alkyl glycoside represented by formula II. In the formulas, R1 is an 8-18C alkyl, etc.; R2 is a 2-4C alkylene; R3 is a 2-4C alkyl, H, etc.; n is the number of alkylene oxide molecules added; R4 is an 8-18C alkyl, etc.; R5 is a 2-4C alkylene, etc.; G is a residue; x is 0 to 5; and y is 1.0 to 2.0. |
