PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten safety by preventing a rail body part from being ruptured by the weight of a cargo on a roof rail so as to fall from a body roof part along with the cargo even though a part of the rail body part is damaged in case of emergency. SOLUTION: In a roof rail having a bar-like rail body part 11 and a fitting leg part 12 to a body roof part R and integrally formed of synthetic resin intermixed with glass fiber, a fall preventing member 15 is integrally embedded over the longitudinal direction of the rail body part 1 from the fitting leg part 12.
