<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover assembly where the door base and the support in the lower layer of an interior panel cooperate with each other so as to anchor the breakaway end of a door, by the breakaway end of the door base having the lock tab arranged in the slot of the support at the facing edge of the support for locking the door base in close position. SOLUTION: A door base is attached to a panel base 30 with a hinge 33. When the door base is closed, the opening of the air bag within the support 30 closes. The rear end of the door breakaway part has a separated lock tab 36. The base 30 has a slot 38 opposed to the breakaway part of the door base, at the brim of the opening 34 of the air bag. The slot 38 receives the lock tab 36, and it is caught between the inner and outer tongue parts 38 and 40 of the panel support 30 to demarcate the slot 38. The door base is locked in the close position with the lock tab 36b at the rear end of the breakaway part. By the above, the lock tab 36 can be changed to meet the specified request of the material used for an equipment panel 10.</p> |
