摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop the high-speed calculation algorithm of time suited to actual social common ideas by performing calculation by a requested unit as the difference of elapsed time from the certain point of time to the different point of time in a video game to be advanced based on a clock function. SOLUTION: For a video game machine for a household, a game machine main body 1 and a ROM cartridge 2 are connected through an interface 3 and an RTC 4 for automatically ticking a year, a month, a date, an hour, a minute, a second and the day of the week and a backup memory (BRAM) 8 are incorporated in the ROM cartridge 2. At the time, a data structure T(k) is used so as to perform the difference calculation of the time by the year, the month, the date, the hour, the minute and the second. Since the structure T(k) is a linear array, an attached character (k) indicates the unit of one of the year, the month, the date, the hour, the minute and the second. Then, at the time of defining the time at the certain point A of time as TA and the time of the point B of time after that as TB, the elapsed time from the point A of time to the point B is obtained by (TB-TA).
