PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ion-cross-linkable rubber-modified arom. vinyl resin compsn. excellent in moldability and resistances to impact and scratch. SOLUTION: This resin compsn. comprises an ion-cross-linkable arom. vinyl resin as a continuous phase and a rubberlike elastomer dispersed therein. The vinyl resin contains 2-20mol% at least one kind of structural unit derived from anα,β-ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid. In this compsn., the ratio of carboxyl groups neutralized by metal ions to all the carboxyl groups (i.e., the ionomerization ratio) of the above structural units is 10% or higher, the content of theα,β-ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid units (Amol%) and the ionomerization ratio (B%) satisfy the relation: 2<=(A+B)/100<=10, and the vinyl resin contains lower than 20wt.% high-molecular component contg. 0.5mol% or lowerα,β-ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid units. The compsn. further contains 0.01-2 equivalents of a polycarboxylic acid component per equivalent of the metal ion used for neutralizing.
