PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sheet feeding and returning amounts and to improve the visibility by printing the various functional setting items of a printer, and then feeding a sheet in a reverse direction. SOLUTION: A sheet 14 is set to a front tractor 10. Key input means is operated, and a mode for altering the various functional setting items of a printer is started. The key is judged by key input deciding means via an I/O port. Control means executes a specified control according to the data stored in a RAM and the program stored in a ROM based on the result of key input deciding means. Sheet feed control means is operated via the port to suck the sheet 14 from the tractor 10. Thus, the set value of the various functional setting items is easily visually recognized, and the set value of a menu can be rapidly altered. |
