PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain Aeromonas caviae which is a new microorganism, having the ability to produce a new type immunosuppressant capable of suppressing the induction of a cytotoxic T cell and belonging to the genus Aeromonas by separation thereof from an enterobacterium of fishes. SOLUTION: This microorganism is a new Aeromonas caviae SCRC4X25 (FERM P-15921) in the form of a bacillus, having the ability to produce an immunosuppressant capable of suppressing the induction of a cytotoxic T cell and motility and negative to Gram staining without any spore. The microorganism is useful for production, etc., of the new type immunosuppressant capable of suppressing the induction of the cytotoxic T cell. The new microorganism is obtained by collecting an enterobacterium of fishes such as Dasyatis akajei, culturing the enterobacterium in a culture medium, growing the enterobacterium, separating a colony and identifying the microorganism. |
