PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus which can form high-density and stable images and has a high recording frequency. SOLUTION: A recording head 1 has an insulating base material 2, a plurality of discharge electrodes 4... formed on an upper face of the base material 2, coagulation electrodes 6... each faced to the corresponding discharge electrode 4, and an ink tank 8 arranged on the upper face of the base material 2 to cover the discharge electrodes 4... and coagulation electrodes 6.... A grounded confronting electrode 20 is set at a position to hold a paper P between the electrode and a discharge point 5 at a front end of the discharge electrodes 4... projecting from a slit 10 of a front face 8b of the ink tank 8. Bias power sources 14, 18, a recording voltage generation part 12 and a coagulation voltage generation part 16 are connected at rear ends of the electrodes 4..., 6.... After a recording voltage is applied to the discharge electrode 4 selected in accordance with an image signal, a coagulation voltage is impressed to the confronting coagulation electrode 6, so that the ink running short because of flying is instantaneously recovered. |
