PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce polyester textiles constantly excellent in after-processing character and package form while the production condition is varied by specifying the speed of the heat treating godet roller and the textile tension between these godet rollers in direct spinning and drawing process using heating cylinders. SOLUTION: The polyester textile filament cooled and solidified on the cooler 2 is drawn by introducing into the heating cylinder 3 then heat treated by a heat treating apparatus 8 set between a pair of godet rollers 6, 7 and wound-up. The speed of the godet roll satisfies the equation, 63×<3>√d<=V<=83×<3>√d [d is speed of a single filament (d); V is take-up speed(m/s)] and the tension of the filament between the godet rollers 6, 7 satisfies the equation, 0.1T<=t<=0.5T [T is the maximum tension of filament before processing with godet roller 6 (N); t is the tension between godet rollers (N)].
