Glutaryl 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) derivs. of formula (I) are new. R = H, 1-4C alkyl (opt. substd. by phenyl or H (sic)), benzyl (substd. by NO2, 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C alkoxy) or silyl (substd. by (opt. substd.)1-4C alkyl); n = 0 or 1; A = H, OH, Cl, CH2 or CH2X; X = F, Cl, Br, I, OH, OCOMe or opt. substd. 1-4C alkoxy; provided that when n = O and R = H, then X is not OMe.
