The bladed parts of the pump impeller and of the turbine runner wheel form together a toroidal work chamber (4a) which is arranged radially outwardly in the annular inner chamber (4). Radially inwardly within the annular inner chamber (4) is a buffer chamber, divided into a turbine runner wheel side part (5) and a pump impeller side part (6). In the region of the dividing plane (1) between the impeller (3) and the runner wheel (2) is an annular plate (7)fitted inside the buffer chamber.In the region of its inner dia. (di) and its outer dia. (da) it has open-edge recesses (11a,11b) on the annular plate inner and outer dia. USE/ADVANTAGE - For high slip force transmission,with load reducing facility.
