An apparatus for dispensing folded or non-folded wiping materials, including a housing (2), a cover (3), a drum (4), a cutting device (5) built into the drum (4), a pressing member (6) and means for moving and returning the drum, which means include an eccentric member (7) and a spring (8). The upper portion of the housing (2) contains two flanges (2a-2b) for holding a spool of wiping material, and said drum (4) and the pressing member (6) are held between flanges (2c-2d) extending perpendicularly to the back plane (2e) of the housing (2). Said apparatus includes a device for controlling drum rotation, provided with a profiled lever (12) pivotably mounted at its lower end counter to a resilient return means (13), the upper portion of said lever (12) being provided with a supporting rod (14) for a pair of freely rotatable pulleys (15-16) of which the first (15) is linked via a drive belt (17) to one of the means for feeding and pressing the paper prior to cutting, whereas the second pulley (16) is engageable from behind with the spool (B) of material. |
