摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain antimicrobial composite structure having excellent color development, glossiness and feeling by composing the structure using a cotton fiber and a cellulose fiber containing colloidal free sulfur. SOLUTION: A cellulose fiber such as a viscose rayon filament having a single yarn fineness of 1.5 de is dipped in a treating solution prepared by dissolving sulfur in a sodium sulfide aqueous solution. The excess solution is removed by squeezing, and the fiber is treated in a sulfuric acid aqueous solution until the generation of hydrogen sulfide gas is terminated. The treated fiber is sufficiently washed with water, dried and cut so as to produce a cellulose stable fiber of 38mm in length and containing 0.01-19wt.% of colloidal free sulfur. The objective antimicrobial woven cloth is obtained by weaving a blended yarn produced by spinning blended fibers of 5-50wt.% of a cotton fiber and 95-50wt.% of the cellulose stable fiber.
