A breathing apparatus and a nozzle for use in a breathing apparatus is provided by the present invention. In use, filtered air flows along passageway (31) of the nozzle and a first air flow for breathing flows out of a first outlet (23). A second outlet (25) allows outflow of a second air flow which establishes a gas curtain outwardly of the first air flow. The gas curtain substantially reduces the breathing of contaminated atmospheric air by the wearer. The apparatus and nozzle have particular application for cyclists, asthma sufferers, etc. |
