Compounds of general formula (1) are described, wherein W, L, R?3, R4, R5, R6 and R7¿ have the meanings as defined in the description, according to which at least one of R4 or R5 is a -(CH¿2?)tArN(R?b)CX1N(Rb)L2(Alk)¿mAr group. The compounds are phosphodiesterase type IV inhibitors and are useful in the prophylaxis and treatment of diseases such as asthma where an unwanted inflammatory response or muscular spasm is present.
