The freewheel assembly attachment tool has a bush (12) with multiple longitudinal tongues (14) which are elastically deformable and have a conical shape in the area of the end of the bush. The bush can be mounted on the freewheel housing (7) so that the elastically deformable tongues hold the freewheel pawls (10) in their retracted position and that the freewheel assembly and the bush can then be inserted into the hub. The end section of the freewheel housing is brought into engagement with the annular crown wheel of the hub. The bush is then removed from the freewheel body by sliding it to the rear.
