<p>A method for aligning cylinders having parallel axes, wherein the angular deviation between the axis of at least one cylinder and a reference direction is determined, and the position of the cylinder is adjusted to reduce the deviation. The direction of the axis of a first cylinder, considered as the reference direction, is determined, and the reference direction is moved to a position that is at least adjacent to a second cylinder. The direction of the axis of the second cylinder is determined and the angular deviation between the direction of the axis of the second cylinder and the reference direction is deduced therefrom. Said reference direction is moved by means of a gyroscope, preferably a triaxial optical gyroscope.</p> |
