The invention relates to a method for producing comparability of spectrometer measurements with various measuring instruments of the same type of a family, and a spectrometer for carrying out said method. It also relates to a spectrometer with automatic standardization. Said method and said spectrometer can be used to substantially improve the comparability and the precision of spectroscopic measurements since the measuring values can be reproduced by calibration of the spectrometer, and different probe consistencies or dimensions are compensated.
