The main unit (200) has a base plate with flanges (340) along the front and back edges, and a plug or socket (310). The first expansion unit (300) has a top plate with recessed edges (350) into which the main unit flanges engage. The expansion unit has a socket or plug (320) to connect electrically with the corresponding connector in the main unit. The circuit boards (360) in each unit are linked to the plug or socket via a rigid connection board (240). The base of the first and further expansion units has a flange to engage with the recess in the top plate of the unit below. The flange extends further than the plug or socket at the base of each unit to prevent damage.
