Flexographic printing plates prepared by photopolymerising plate coating through negative

A method for the preparation of moulds used in flexographic printing comprises: (a) a photopolymerisable printing plate is exposed to actinic radiation through a negative in order to form an image on the plate ; (b) the negative is removed ; and (c) non-photopolymerised material is washed off the plate. Prior to laying the negative on the plate, a solution comprising a solvent (mixture) and at least one film-forming binder polymer is used to treat the side of the negative facing the plate, and then the solvent is removed by evaporation.
