<p>Apparatus for adding a beneficial agent to a liquid for drinking during oral administration includes a support structure that defines a retention pocket with liquid penetrable walls. At least one beneficial agent is contained in the retention pocket. The support structure is constructed to be placed in an imperforate walled zone through which a liquid for drinking passes before oral ingestion thereof. In the novel method a support structure with a retention pocket containing at least one beneficial agent is provided and placed in a vessel containing a liquid for drinking such that the at least one beneficial agent is in contact with the liquid for drinking.</p> |
