The method involves testing the living environment within a new home for detection of construction materials, or material combinations, which have an adverse reaction on the intended occupant. The testing can be effected using skin testing, or via an electroacupuncture device in which the skin resistance between a number of acupuncture points is measured when a material sample is applied to the body.
