The invention relates to a frame for temporarily supporting a horizontal sheet-like element (20), brought in to perform, subsequently, a vertical translational movement between guiding and squaring-off stops (18,19) within a machine (10). This frame comprises lateral retractable supports constituted, on each side, by a horizontal flat bar (40) extending substantially over the entire length of the frame and whose movement, from a forward position of support for the sheet to a retracted position allowing the sheet to fall vertically, is provided by an actuator (46) acting on the flat bar, either directly or through a single lever. <IMAGE> |
