System of multicoloured backlighting for alphanumeric signalling formed of a base integrated circuit board, on which a series of different coloured conical diodes will be mounted, provided with an internal lens that reflects the light backwards, the diodes being fitted in sequence, according to their colour, the light aura of each diode being combined to achieve uniformity, being supplied in parallel in twos by a voltage-dropping resistor, with resistor arrays, each display carrying a full-wave rectifier, all the segments being triggered by thyristors and their coding being carried out by an integrated circuit in ABCD form, data being entered onto the display via ribbon cables, the matrix being screen-printed in white and the mould on which the matrix will be fitted and acts as a reflector will be provided with grids separating the light of each segment. <IMAGE>
