PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter capable of transmitting, recording and reproducing multiport MIDI data with one port. SOLUTION: MIDI messages outputted from a tone sequencer 3, an effective sequencer 4 and an illumination sequencer 5 are all inputted to an encoder 2, which outputs this as the MIDI output of one system and simultaneously outputs a port specifying message that the channel message of a reception channel (n) is inputted and outputted from a port pp. A decoder 6 sorts the inputted channel message based on this port specifying message to output to a sound source device 7, an amplifier 8 and an illuminator 9. The port specifying message can be transferred by an MIDI format by using control change messages Bn, kk and pp using an unused controller number kk. |
