PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a local or heating of only a place where a specific person is present when a pew number of persons are scatteringly present in a wide area. SOLUTION: This local cooling or heating method is carried out in such a way that an air curtain blowing-out device 2 is fixed to a duct 1 for deeding cooling or heating air, a downward-directed narrow air blowing-out port 3 enclosing a relative narrow range is formed at a lower surface of the air curtain blowing-out device 2, either cold or hot air is blown out of the air blowing-out port 3 toward a floor surface or a ground surface so as to form an air curtain 4 with cold or hot air flow and to enclose a space around a specified person, this enclosed space 6 is shut off against a surrounding area, and the cold or hot air in the air curtain 4 is heat exchanged with hot air within the aforesaid space 6 so as to cool or heat the space. An infrared ray generator is fixed to the air curtain blowing-out device 2 as a case may be, and the infrared ray is radiated into the space 6 during heating operation to improve a heating effect. |
