PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery excellent in both battery characteristic and economic property by using a composite phosphor salt of lithium and iron as positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery has a negative electrode formed of a material capable of electrochemically and reversibly absorbing and releasing lithium, a positive electrode, and an electrolytic solution in which an electrolyte is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent. As the active material of the positive electrode, Lix Fe2 PO4 ) (in the formula, O<x<=1.0) is used. In the formation of the positive electrode, a known conductive agent or binder can be added. This battery is never particularly limited for battery shape, and can be made into various shapes such as cylinder, square, coin and button. |
